Every Thursday evening our running coach Ryan Miller leads a small group workshop focusing on the fundamentals of relaxed, easy running. Ryan has helped thousands of runners find more ease and joy with their running.
This workshop will cover the basic fundamentals of running as well as your specific issues and challenges. We will cover a wide variety of simple yet effective exercises that can be used daily to strengthen your running.
A few of the topics covered are:
Improving posture and balance to reduce impact
Relaxing the ankles and calves to reduce shin/calf/achilles discomfort
Breathing to relax the mind so you can focus on your run
Methods to reduce stress so you can run relaxed and free
Improving your core strength to improve stability and fluidity
Running Gait Analysis and Training
OFF-SEASON Sports is proud to present a comprehensive running program that includes injury treatment, gait training, and performance. Our physical therapists work closely with the team to help you treat current injuries, as well as correct movement patterns that might be contributing to pain and injury.
If you are injured your first step is to call our office at 978-688-6181 to schedule an appointment with a physical therapist. At the initial evaluation the therapist will recommend other treatments that could compliment your physical therapy treatment. In many cases working with our running coach can be a tremendous help in dealing with running injuries and improving your running in general. We've found that the majority of our patients who work with Ryan do not return to see us with another injury.
