ChiRunning is a time tested, science backed technique that promotes energy efficiency and
injury prevention. When you can run pain-free and with less effort, the joy of running
naturally increases and can grow into a lifelong practice. ChiRunning combines the central
movement principles of T’ai Chi with the sport of running by shifting the workload to your
core muscles, and away from your legs, giving you more efficiency with less injuries. The
form focuses that you will learn can be carried into all aspects of your life, not just when you
are walking or running, contributing to a holistic practice.

Hi, I’m Catherine Kane and looking forward to helping you with your goals to walk and run with less effort and less injuries! The focuses you will learn will also be able to be used in yourveveryday life, not just when you’re walking or running. I have been a distance runner for over 20 years. I started running to take stress off my job as a Stepdown and ICU nurse and it led me to other healthier habits that I believe helped save my life when I nearly lost it from septic shock in 2018. I’m married with 2 teenage daughters and an
adopted dog and cat.
